Job Detail: Elementary School Teacher(s) - (IDMANN Cooperative Parents' Alliance - Online)

IDMANN Academy provides tutorial support to secondary and pre-secondary age students via our class-leading online platform. The IDMANN Cooperative Parents' Alliance (CPA) provides elementary school students an outstanding educational experience in very small groups. Parents seeking similar educational outcomes for their children voluntarily form 'cooperative alliances'. IDMANN Academy then develops a curriculum that meets the specific needs of the parents and their children, and delivers it exclusively to the students in the cooperative alliance. To ensure adequate support and attention to students, each cooperative alliance cannot involve more than 10 students.  The instructional design of the CPA is built around the Common Core standard. IDMANN Academy is looking for instructors and early childhood educators to support our cooperative alliance of students in the 1st to 5th grades. Each instructor will teach one cohort of students exclusively.

Prospective applicants should note the following:

• Instructors should expect to be engaged approximately 40 hours per week.
• We expect instructors to have hands-on familiarity with the Common Core Standard.
• Instructors are expected to have appropriate certification or prior experience in early childhood education. (A combination of a teaching certification AND demonstrated experience (> 3 years) teaching in an elementary school would be ideal.)
• Prior experience teaching online or familiarity with an online teaching engagement is critical in this position.
• Intending instructors MUST have ALL of the following:
  • A reliable laptop or desktop running Windows 10, equipped with a good quality webcam and microphone, keyboard and mouse (or touchpad), as no instruction will be permitted over a handheld or mobile device.
  • Stable, reliable broadband internet access.
  • Space from which to provide daily instruction to students, free of distraction or intrusion during class sessions.
  • Availability five days a week.
