IDMANN Institute provides training in professional development and technical entrepreneurship through our College of General Studies and the School of Experiential Learning, respectively. We also provide secondary and pre-secondary tutorial services through IDMANN Academy. All our courses are offered online in live sessions with seasoned instructors. As the demand for our services has grown, we are looking to hire a Program Manager, Knowledge Services. This role oversees the operational and institutional functions relating to our knowledge services with a particular emphasis on growing our scientific and technical service programs (IDMANN Scientific). Internally, this position oversees the operations team. Externally, it ensures effective outreach to prospective students and partner organizations to drive our scientific and technical service programs (through our outreach and engagement teams).
Successful candidates will be expected to have experience running (or supporting the running of) an educational or scientific establishment as well as solid background as a scientist or engineer. He/she will be expected to bring first-hand knowledge of the nuances of running a training and human capital development operation, in addition to the core administrative and business development skills needed to drive the technical activities of the organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive.
The ideal candidate will have most, if not all of the following:
a) A solid background working in an academic, research, development, industrial, or technical organization, with demonstrated ability to support scientific and technical inquest.
b) Demonstrated ability to drive the internal functions as well as interface effectively and seamlessly with external partners, institutions and agencies to expand the footprint of IDMANN Scientific.
c) Ability to lead, coach, and motivate the technical, tutorial and program support staff toward the stated mission of the organization.
d) Demonstrated leadership and business development ability.
d) Demonstrated ability to lead a culturally and geographically disperse (virtual) team.
e) Prior (or current) experience as an instructor/lecturer, research scientist, technical manager, business development specialist, or practice supervisor/manager.
